8/14/2023 0 Comments Chucky you are my buddi songWhich is not to say there's a whole lot of updating to Chucky the maniacal serial-killing doll himself he's still voiced, as always, by actor Brad Dourif, still wise-cracking any chance he can get, and still a danger to be in the same room as quite literally any human being. These kids are moody, looking for their place in the world, and live, unquestionably, in 2021 the music stylings of Billie Eilish and others others of her ilk just feels right in this setting. Part of the reason it works so well (we're talking songs by artists like the inescapable Billie Eilish and the underrated pop star Kim Petras) is that for the first time in the 33-year-old franchise, Chucky follows a group of mid-teenagers. But what if I told you that that uber-successful horror franchise's first foray into TV, the new Chucky series, featured a soundtrack that went heavy on pop and indie pop.and it totally worked? It really might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the Child's Play/Chucky franchise of horror movies, which follows a murderous toy doll with the spirit of a serial killer named Charles Lee Ray trapped inside of him. "Thank you," you muttered as you looked up at the mechanic, who smiled and gave a nod.Pop music might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of horror movies. I'm just glad you're okay," you chuckled weakly, giving him a peck on the cheek.Ĭhucky nuzzled his face into your shirt, happy to be back in your arms. "I'm s-sorry I made you unhappy, (Y/n)," the android replied sheepishly. You ran your fingers through his hair and wept, covering his face in kisses. He nodded and quickly jumped to cling to you again. "Are you okay, baby?" you sobbed, holding his face in your hands and checking him for any damage. You held your beloved doll like your life depended on it. Your cries were muffled as you buried your face in his hair, tears streaming endlessly from your eyes. You grasped your arms around him and gathered him to your chest. "(Y/n)!" Chucky cheered as he ran to scramble into your lap. The mechanic smiled and carefully picked him up, walking over to you and setting him down in front of you. "Chucky!" you wailed, attempting to stand but collapsing to your knees from pure relief. Your eyes began to fill with tears as you clasped your hand over your mouth. He looked around a bit before locking eyes with you. You raised your head to see Chucky beginning to come to life, the mechanic helping him prop himself upward on the table. You were unknowingly beginning to nod off into sleep, until you heard a familiar little jingle, followed by the whirring and clicking of machinery. It had been a few hours since you had come in. You sat in a chair on the opposite side of the room, watching nervously. He nodded and led you to a separate room, where he lay the doll on a table beside various tools and parts. He began to walk away until you insisted you needed to be there with Chucky. He took Chucky from you and reassured you that he would do what he could. You sobbed as you begged him to fix the doll you cradled in your arms. You burst through the doors of the shop, startling the mechanic, who was behind his desk filling out paper work. Picking the closest one, you grabbed him and hopped in your car. Once home, you frantically searched for any nearby mechanics as you dried Chucky off with a towel. You stood and ran home as fast as you could. His head lulled to one side and his eyes flickered to black again. "Ssshhhh, sshhhh," you shushed him, choking back a sob and trembling with anxiety. you are my b-," his jaw twitched slightly. You raced over to him and took him in your arms, tears already falling from your cheeks. You felt your world shatter into a million pieces. A few scuff marks were visible on his face, and the rain had matted his hair a dark, wet red. He was lying on his back, eyes dull and lifeless. You were walking home in the rain when you saw him. He tried to fight back, but the little doll was no match for the several young adults. Because you clung to him at all times and never let him out of your sight, the fact that you weren't there to protect him made him vulnerable when a group of teens stumbled upon him and began to hit and kick him. One day when you were walking to the store, you didn't notice Chucky climb out of an open window and follow you in secret.
